The Girl I'm a 22 year old full time student. I currently live in Texas, which puts me in the Central US timezone-- GMT-6, if you go by that. I write a lot in my free time- I love to rp. I've been roleplaying online for nearly ten years- I started out in the old AOL chats in 1999/2000 and then made my way over to the journal based format around 2004.
The Play &rarr I prefer threading to AIM, whether that's over journals, emails, googledocs or whatnot- I'm none too picky. I tend to feel a bit rushed on AIM, and besides- I like to have conversations with the person I am playing with. If you'd rather remain anonymous, just let me know and I am definitely okay with that.
&rarr Third person, past tense, story book style, please. Unless we agree to write it differently. Asterisks and first persons are okay with me OOC, but for threads and the like, I'd much prefer third person.
&rarr I'll write fandom or PB lines [I'll list fandoms in a separate post]. I'm sorry, celeb lines just aren't my thing. Bonus points for historical lines!
&rarr I am willing to write males or females- it just depends on the muse that strikes or the storyline that we decide to write. I like to keep a balance, though, so please do not be offended if I refuse to play a male for you or vice versa.
&rarr I am not incredibly picky about PBs, as long as they fit the character. However, I personally tend to stay away from scene kids/Myspace celebs, originals, suicide girls, and the like.
&rarr Adult scenes. I'll write them, yes, but I do not want that to be the bulk of a line--unless we agree ahead of time that it is a smut line. I'm also fine with fading to black or time jumping to after.
&rarr I prefer het, though I might even dabble in some slash/femme if the line appeals to me, or it happens naturally between characters.
&rarr Replies? Quality over quantity for sure. Not all of my tags are 300+ words, but I do try to give you enough to work with. I just can't always get into tons and tons of description, but you'll know what my character is doing and thinking, at least.
The Pet Peeves &rarr God-modding. It's just rude. &rarr Mary Sues/Gary Stus. And really obvious self-inserts. &rarr Spelling and grammar errors! I'm not expecting perfection, but at least look like you've tried? &rarr Late responses. At least let me know if you're having trouble with a storyline or a response, and I'll be more than happy to help you work it out or we can drop it. |
